This is an inferencing resource where students are asked to make inferences based on pictures that they see. This is a great way to start kids off with inferencing before moving to text! When students begin to make inferences, they use their schema, what they are given (either in a picture, or written text), and then proceed to make a guess of inference after having put those two things together.

This picture inferencing resource includes one page with basic illustrations/ guide as to how we make inferences and then has 10 pages with pictures for making inferences. As seen in some of the pictures, there is a chart on each page where students first write what they already know, then write what they see in the picture, then make their inference based on those two things.

Includes digital option for use with Google Slides™.

For those of you that purchased my resource, Making Inferences and Finding Text Evidence, this resource with pictures would be a great pre-lesson to moving to text inferencing!
