This is a great book to use to discuss some of our Founding Fathers, and an excellent supplement when teaching the American Revolution. This author uses a play on words to describe what these four founding fathers may have been like when they were little. It's just a fun book!!

Students make inferences based on what they know about each American Hero to decide what the author is saying. For example: Tom was an independent lad. Students can infer that the author wrote this about Tom as a child because he later wrote the Declaration of Independence.

In this pack, you will find:
*An inference book for students to write about each character and the meaning behind the authors words
*A parts of speech scavenger hunt
*Figurative Language review- pun, simile, onomatopoeia
*Using Dialogue tags
*Text features- bold print, italics, all caps, and font size

We hope you'll enjoy this fun way to integrate Social Studies into Language Arts!
