This lesson is great as part of a mini unit on making inferences or in conjunction with a large unit on mood and tone in literature. The students are required to make inferences about a picture they select and put information on a poster about what they see, feel, think, and wonder when looking at the picture. The poster can be discussed as a large group or small groups. A grading checklist is included at the bottom of the handout for the assignment.
This can be paired with any piece of literature and could be a great activity when you have a sub!
