This is the BUNDLE edition of my original products, Making Inferences with Short Animated Films Parts 1 and 2. I have combined these two products into one package!
This is the perfect activity to use as you are introducing the tricky skill of inferencing to your students. It is particularly helpful because the students are able to learn how to inference while watching the movies. As they gain the skill of inferencing from this activity, they can then apply it to their reading. I have found that this is the perfect way for my students with learning disabilities to understand what inferencing is before they have to do it with text.
I have included inferencing questions that correspond to several short films which are easily accessible online. The films range anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes. I found this activity to be particularly successful because the movies have no words, only music!
For this product, I have created questions about TEN FILMS:
-One Man Band (Pixar)
-For the Birds (Pixar)
-Pigeon Impossible (Martell)
-Geri's Game (Pixar)
-Tin Toy (Pixar)
-Day & Night (Pixar)
-Luxo Jr. (Pixar)
-La Luna (Pixar)
There are about 5 higher level thinking questions per video, which require the students to make an inference as they answer. There is a place for the students to list what clues and evidence helped them to come to this conclusion.
