Product Description
This presentation contains a 35 slide PowerPoint lesson in an editable PPT format with a handout and Teacher’s notes that accompany the lesson.
This lesson is a wonderful exercise in speaking for ESL students or high school kids.
By learning how to pass on and teach something that they have an intimate knowledge of or that they are passionate about, to others, this method forces its users to use plain language and to simplify terms so that others may understand it properly. It also has a built-in control device, since, by making the listeners repeat the information they’ve just learnt, we can immediately see if the explanation was clear or not.
“The Feynman technique” is a learning technique created by the physicist Richard Feynman. Feynman was famous for his ability to explain complex physics principles in simple understandable terms. His technique has been proven successful and is used by students everywhere, to learn and pass on knowledge.
This lesson teaches the 4 steps of the Feynman method and applies them to two different rules in nature.
The students are asked to apply this method to a field that they are familiar with, and teach the class something new, using this newly acquired technique.
This lesson includes:
- The 4 steps of the Feynman technique
- A handout with the rules
- Examples of how this technique can be applied to learning a natural phenomenon and a law in physics, even when you lack any scientific background.
- The students are asked to apply this technique to their own field of expertise.
I hope you enjoy this lesson

PLEASE: My lessons are proof-read by me, (but more importantly, by more serious and intelligent critics) However, it’s been our experience that there’s always something that we miss… if you find a mistake or feel that there is room for improvements, please let me know in the "Ask a Question" section (rather than rate the entire document badly), I promise to fix it immediately and you’ll have my deepest gratitude.
