This is a reader's response activity to go with the book:
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

This pdf file includes all the printables needed to create an Alexander mobile and a response sheet to be glued into reading comprehension journals.
The first part of the activity requires students to make text-to-self connections with Alexander and his bad day. These connections are then written down and turned into a mobile for display in the classroom.
As a response for their reading journals, students then glue in a picture of the mobile and record down a connection.
This activity fits with the second grade Making Meaning curriculum.
