PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This product contains 3 sets of word cards featuring 20 singular nouns in eac set.

These word cards can be used in a variety of ways:
As a large group introductory activity. We review the rules for making plurals (I post them). I post the small green rule cards on the board and give students word cards. They come up and place them in a pile under the correct rule and explain their thinking.

As a center activity during guided reading rotations. Students are given a set of words, sort them and then record them on their chart. Depending on their level I may also give them a follow up activity at this time.

I print the cards on cardstock with color ink. Laminating the cards will of course improve their durability.

I also have 4 follow-up sheets:
*1 sentence writing activity
*2 change the plural back to a singular noun pages
*1 label the plural nouns in the picture (eyes, bells, gifts, bows, legs, noses, antlers, stripes, dots)
*1 pile the gift activity (4 sheets for 1 activity)
*2 sort the snowflake pages
