This Making Predictions Bundle contains my What If...? game
and What Will Happen? What Do I Do?
Predicting what will happen is a difficult skill for some of our more concrete learners. Answering What if? questions can be particularly difficult; much more so than the standard Wh-questions.
There are 40 What if question cards in the first resource, a game board and spinner.
Being able to understand cause and effect is an important skill; one that some children have difficulty grasping.
Being able to predict what will happen in certain situations; to understand that X inevitably - or usually - or often - leads to Y is a crucial life skill.
And it is significantly more difficult for them to understand the more- abstract concepts of how what they say and do can lead to consequences; such as saying something mean to someone will hurt their feelings. And just what is “mean” anyway?
The second resource contains 40 cards that present a range of concrete and more abstract situations, and ask students to predict what the outcome will probably be.
What If? is for slightly younger children than What Will Happen? What Do I Do? However, this may vary depending on your students.
