30 printable handouts to help your students make sentences. Each page has a wildlife photo, a word bank of nine words that relate to the photo, and five numbered lines to write on.
Photos: Your students will love my photos: a hummingbird, a rabbit, a mountain goat, a dragonfly, a lynx spider, a painted lady butterfly, a feather, a pond, a lizard, a grasshopper, a wren, a bird’s nest, a squirrel, a water drop, a cactus, a leaf, and more. Using an image to clarify meaning in a text is a Common Core standard in second and third grade (2.RI.7 and 3.RI.7).
Differentiation: I have two versions within this packet, one with five sentences and another with three.
FREE: I have included 24 free samples from some of my other TpT packets. I have over 200 other packets for you to select from at my store.
Take a look at the Preview to see a few sample pages and decide if you’d like to bring nature into your classroom, either as a whole-class activity or in a literacy center.
