PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

If your students need more exposure to the Dolch pre-primer sight words, this might be helpful to you. This is a build, cut, and glue product with the first 38 Dolch pre-primer sight words. Students cut the sentence pieces, build the words into sentences, and glue the words next to the coordinating picture graphics.

I included a title page that is optional and can be used if you choose to have students put the sentences into a "book". I also added a handwriting template page that you can use for any kind of writing. A follow up activity could be for kids to write the sentences they make each time they do the cut and paste part. It would be useful in a literacy center as well.

I hope you like this product. I use it for emergent ELL students, but it would also be very useful for kindergarten, first grade, and even second graders who are low readers. I can see this file being used for early morning work, tutoring, and even special education.

I found that for the really low kids, modeling one sentence at a time really helps instead of having the kids cut up all the pieces at a time. My new ELLs have to have the modeling because their language skills are just developing.
