This can be used a memory game or Go Fish. For both games you should print and laminate the cards. If you print front to back, the apples with Making 10 will be on the other side lined up.
Print out 2 sets of numbers 0 – 10. Students need to flip over a card. They are trying to match partner to make 10. For example, if someone flips over 3, they are looking to match it with 7. If they do not flip over a match, it is the next player’s turn. If they do, they keep the match. Then, the next player goes.
Students are dealt 5 cards. They will ask for matches to make 10. For example, if someone has a 2 they will ask their partner for an 8. If the partner doesn’t have the match, the other player will say “Go Fish” and it is the next player’s turn. If they do have a match, they take the match, and it is the next player’s turn.
