This product is inspired by "Making Thinking Visible" by Ritchart, Church, and Morris. It is a graphic organizer designed to lead students to deeper thinking. The graphic organizer is black and white and coordinates with Wild Child Design's other Making Thinking Visible products. Teacher notes are also included with this product.
I use Compass Points when I want to explore controversy with my students, because it helps students examine differing points of view as well as their own stances on an issue. I call it a "TPS" instead of a GPS. TPS stands for Thinking Positional System. It is a PERFECT compliment to a persuasive writing unit, social studies topics, and reader's workshop units that require students to examine character point of view.
This product is also part of a growing bundle in Wild Child Designs' store. That means you can buy it and other visible thinking organizers at a set price. I will continue to add to that growing bundle and you get the updates for free! Check it out!
