21st Century Learning: Best Practice: Brain-Based: Marzano: Critical Thinking
This organizer, inspired by Making Thinking Visible by Ritchart, Church, & Morrison is perfect to use with students after they have read a nonfiction or fiction text. Students use the organizer to record their connections to text, and changes in thinking, as well as any parts of the text they want to challenge. Finally, they identify the important ideas or concepts they want to remember from the text. This strategy can be used in ANY subject! It develops and supports students' metacognitive skills, and provides an opportunity for the oral expression of their ideas.

This product includes a teacher note page and a blank graphic organizer for student use. The graphic organizer is a black and white copy.
