Wild Child Designs

This product is inspired by "Making Thinking Visible" by Ritchart, Church, and Morris. It is a graphic organizer designed to lead students to deeper thinking. The graphic organizer is black and white and coordinates with Wild Child Design's other Making Thinking Visible products. There is one copy with lines and one without. Teacher notes are also included with this product.

I use this strategy when I’m beginning a new topic or concept, and I want my students to think of their own ideas for researching or investigating it. It is handy for students to record their thinking, questions and research ideas.

Here are some topics I’ve used this strategy for:

1. Introducing a new STEM challenge.
2. Introducing my social studies unit on economics.
3. Introducing a theme/big idea at the beginning of our literary essay unit.
4. Introducing the concept of fractions in math workshop.
