Students will make words by blending and adding phonemes.

The word work center cards and booklets are a great way for students to engage with phonemes and letter-sound relationships while learning fall vocabulary words.

How to use:

Fall vocabulary pages:

Make words using the letters I see.
Try and find the big word(s) for bonus points.
Score each word one point.
Score the bonus word(s).
Add up my total score.

How to use:

Blank pages (squares with no letters):

Use laminated blank boxes to record a word. Then use during intervention time to work on phoneme addition and blending skills.


Word work manipulatives:

Use any of the following:

Dry erase markers

Bananagrams,

Letter tiles,

OR Unifix Letter Cubes to help children manipulate sounds.
