Making words is an engaging hands-on activity to get your students thinking! Students will work with letters to create words and then use all the letters to create a mystery word.
This winter pack includes 24 words. I typically use this activity 2 or 3 times a week as morning work or center work. My students can't get enough of it!

How to use: Select a "Making Words" sheet and print off for class. Have students cut the letters off the bottom of the page by cutting on the dashed line. Give students time to mix and match letter combinations to create new words. Have students record words on the sheet. Let students try to find mystery word by using all the letters.
