Wouldn't you love for your students to create something that they'll treasure for years to come? "Making a Memory Book" is a project that I continue to have my students create year after year. I briefly tell them about this project at the beginning of the year so that they will have the opportunity to take photographs throughout the year. Then, during the last week of school, students create a Memory Book (similar to a scrapbook) of their memories from the year. It is the perfect end to a great year.
Back in April, I bumped into a former student of mine (he is now a college freshman) who created a 6th grade memory book for my class. He told me how much he loved the project and that he looks back at it often. I couldn't believe that he mentioned the project. It reaffirmed how important the memory book is to my students and to me. I hope it will have the same impact on you and your students!
