Students will get great practice using what they know combined with what a short passage tells them to make an inference with this game.
"Read My Mind" is played like the popular kids game "Headbands" where one student will place a picture card on his/her head (they can also just turn it face down on the table so the player can't see it). Their partner will then read the short passage aloud to them. As they hear the passage they must take what it tells them and think about what they know about the subject to make an inference as to what picture is on their card. A student response sheet and answer key is also included. This game is great to play whole group, in small groups/centers or as a partner activity. Just print and go!
