This is a beginning of the year assignment which asks students to brainstorm behaviors that affect their grades. Students lists will vary but will include ideas such as "I study" and "I do my homework". At the end of the grading period, teachers should hand back students their lists and ask them to evaluate how well they have lived up to their behavioral goals. Then, students should compare their actions over the grading period to their actual grade.
The idea of this assignment is for students to become aware of the idea that their actions have a direct impact on their grades.
