This is a short reading about the Great Compromise, James Madison, and the issue of large and small states viz. representation. It was created for my ELL students WIDAs 2-6, but is useful for students who have lexiles below grade level. My grade level is 11th grade. I have several other Making the Constitution products, including a free pdf filled with activities and graphics for an interactive notebook. This works well for students who generally perform poorly on standardized tests like Virginia's well-named SOL. Thank you!
