Compare Malcolm X to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on this PowerPoint with 12 animated slides about the life and influence of Malcolm X. Students will learn about his childhood, his life in prison, his conversion to Islam, his role in civil rights, and his assassination. Includes a timeline of events. At the end of the presentation is an open-ended question for student response. Useful for Martin Luther King Day, during Black History month, when reading about the civil rights movement, or when studying MLK (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr) for comparison. I also have a Venn Diagram graphic organizer that is useful for this at:

Did you know that you can use PowerPoints like this in video conferencing or Zoom for distance learning? You can also share with your students in OneDrive, too. Just make sure to tell them to view in Slideshow mode. If you don’t want them to have the answer key, remove it first. ;) You can also upload to Google Slides, and it will automatically convert. There may be some things like fonts or animations that are not compatible, but it is editable and usually easy to make adjustments.
