Description

Compare Malcolm X to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on this PowerPoint with 12 animated slides about the life and influence of Malcolm X. Students will learn about his childhood, his life in prison, his conversion to Islam, his role in civil rights, and his assassination. Includes a timeline of events. At the end of the presentation is an open-ended question for student response. Useful for Martin Luther King Day, during Black History month, when reading about the civil rights movement, or when studying MLK (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr) for comparison. I also have a Venn Diagram graphic organizer that is useful for this at:
