This activity is a fun way to teach students about Mali culture using primary sources. This photograph has been used with permission from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
First, students can read an informational text to learn details about the hunter's tunic, it's uses and non-uses.
Next, students can answer multiple choice questions from the text.
Finally, students can design and decorate their own hunter's tunic, drawing the same type of details and materials on an original tunic.
