The following quiz is a 15-question multiple choice quiz on the 2008 documentary "Man on Wire" directed by James Marsh about Philippe Petit's high wire walk across the World Trade Center in the 70s that can be used in an English, film studies, or media studies class. This assessment is not a trivia quiz about the story or production anecdotes; it is also not a simple, low-level comprehension quiz based on events in the film. The quiz contains high level, critical thinking questions on the understanding through evaluation levels of Bloom's revised taxonomy model. The quiz assesses a taker's understanding of the film's (indirect) characterization, cinematography, classicism, conflict, editing, inferences, mise en scene, plot, realism, setting, situational irony, story, style, and themes.
A packet on the film that can be used as a formative assessment to prepare students for this summative assessment is available as a separate purchase.
