This classroom guidance lesson addresses test anxiety. Students will discuss thoughts and physiological feelings they experience before or during a test and review 6+ strategies for managing test anxiety including positive self-talk, thought stopping, deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, etc.
I use this lesson with 6th grade, but it is appropriate for grades 4-6. Includes lesson plan (objectives, outline, materials list, ASCA standards alignment), visual aids, optional PowerPoint slides, progressive muscle relaxation script, deep breathing script, and objectives assessment checklist.Save with Bundled Units!
