Through the use of mandalas and therapeutic prompts, this resource allows children to explore their inner world with creative mandala activities. A mandala is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning "sacred circle." For centuries, mandalas have been used in several religious and spiritual traditions. Today, they are widely used in counseling as a means of self-exploration and connecting to the whole.
This mandala resource gives children an opportunity to explore their feelings and thoughts in a safe way. It also gives them a chance to develop personal insight and self-awareness. When kids are self-aware, they gain a deeper understanding of why they feel the way they do, why they act the way they act, and why they believe the things they believe.
These mandala activities can be used in individual counseling and also as a whole class lessons. Teachers, parents, social workers, counselors, and psychologist can use these activities to get kids to open up more and self-reflect.
