Students will read a lengthy 2 page informational text about mangrove forests in Florida. They will address complex vocabulary terminology and unscramble the meaning using contextual clues and scramble puzzle with a hidden number clue that must be deciphered.
Students then will use pictures and descriptions of red, black, & white mangroves along with the buttonwood tree to figure out what they are.
