Jeopardy Style Review Game
This is a great lesson I use to to prepare for Chapter or Unit Tests in my U.S. History Classes. I look for fun ways to review that helps the whole class prepare for the tests and these review days are always a favorite. This lesson includes the guidelines for a Jeopardy style game that has 35 review questions and answers of 8th grade U.S. History material from my Ch. 10 Manifest Destiny Unit which includes the Texas Revolution and the Mexican American War (My school uses the Holt text “United States History- Independence to 1914”). This is a one day lesson, with questions and answers in a word document. Write up the seven categories with 5 questions on the white board and you are ready to go. The class is divided into two teams and they work in pairs so that nobody feels like they are on their own. This game keeps everyone engaged. My lesson plan includes a few twists that can get your classes riled up to a fevered pitch, all in the name of knowledge and fun!
