Make the Western Trails fun by checking out this engaging lesson! Students will watch two short clips about tragic accidents involving traveling and answer the following questions: Do incidences like these prevent people from traveling and/or using those modes of travel? Why or why not? Students then will be presented with information about the trails and will apply what they learn by analyzing excerpts and state what the dangers are based on the excerpts.Then students will read excerpts about a plane crash in the Andes and complete the chart. Student’s will be analyzing and using critical thinking skills while relating it to their lives! Included in this product are the following:
