This lesson plan gives you a warm-up, skills session, and activity to the skill of kicking. It's a lesson that keeps to the basics and deals with the kicking. It's a good lesson to do with sport specific skills like soccer, but can also be used to help with assessing the critical elements to kicking. This is a good lesson to try because we use are hands so much that it's always good to see the bilateral movements and use of both sides of the body when using your feet. It incorporates foot-eye coordination and involves the following concepts and more: Given the rules and safety of the classroom, warm-up, activities, and the game, the students will be able to put in use safety and responsibility by accepting responsibility to follow all of the rules during the duration of the class period.
Given a question and answer session by the teacher, the students will be able to identify information by telling the teacher what fruit they will resemble and what category in the food group it belongs too with 100% accuracy.
Given a teacher’s verbal and visual model for the warm-up, the students will be able to put in action gross motor coordination by performing the different locomotor movements for the tag game for 4 minutes.
Given the teacher’s verbal and visual model and a question and answer session, the students will be able to remember information by restating the critical elements/cues of kicking
