A video guide to part five of the History Channel's documentary Mankind: The Story of All of Us. It was originally designed for middle school students but could work for older students as well. The guide has twelve questions total - about one question every three to four minutes.
I recommend teachers view the video before showing it to a class. This episode does contain some violence.
I try to pick important information for the questions and space them out so students must pay attention but do not have to write so much that they can't enjoy the video.
The Mankind: The Story of All of Us DVD set is available on Amazon or individual episodes can be purchased on iTunes.

Mankind is ravaged by this disease in Europe and parts of Asia. In the Americas, new farming techniques and the use of maize help propel mankind forward.
