This award-winning kit from aeIDEAS, created by Dr. Sue Snyder in her classrooms, includes (1) Dr. Seuss' "My Many Colored Days" board book, (2) 20 durable, washable 27" scarves in vibrant colors that match each page, (3) IDEAS Colors Music CD with short sound/color segments and then entire music selections that match the book's moods. (4) instructions included. Use this kit to introduce or reinforce colors, moods, listening skills, music and movement, taking turns and sharing, and joyful learning. After introducing the scarves and discovering how they float and fly, read each page of the book and then play the music as the individuals with the matching scarf move. Everyone moves together on the first and last pages. Can be done with feet staying in one place, or moving through shared space. This kit is used successfully by early childhood, primary, music, art, physical education, and emergent literacy teachers, home schoolers, and those working with special needs and dual language (EL) learners. The scarves can be used many ways for dramatic play, color identification, creative movement and dance, motor coordination and exploring spatial relationships. The music can be played throughout the day, or as signals for daily activities such as lunchtime or clean up.
You download the directions, then the scarves and music disc will be shipped from aeIDEAS. Send your shipping address to orders@aeideas when you order.
