Kia ora Kiwi teachers! These bilingual Reading Rotation Task Cards in PDF format are clear, colourful and appropriately illustrated to assist you in making your own Junior Bilingual Reading Taskboard (year 0 to 3).
While the illustrations add interest, colour and life to a taskboard, they also provide our youngest of learners the visual cues needed to really get your classroom reading rotations running smoothly. I’ve had the support of two wonderful teacher friends (who both teach in Maori medium settings) to create this resource.
You might like to use these task cards to jazz up your existing taskboard or to create a new one using your classroom whiteboard, wall space or source plastic sign card or board made of polyprop plastic. Once you’ve decided what to attach your cards to, all you need to do is print out the files (you might not want all of the pages in the file, so select before printing), laminate, cut out and attach to your taskboard using Velcro (or adhesive magnetic tape if you’re using your whiteboard).
This is a fantastic investment for your classroom organisation & management.
Request additional cards:
I realise that you may want additional cards to cater for your specific class or kura. I am happy create new cards to add to your set if you need them. All I'll need for this, is an email from you with both the Māori and English that you want on your extra cards (with correct macron placement if any).
