Kari panui (reading rotation task cards) are specifically designed for Maori Medium teachers with full immersion or bilingual classrooms (NZ).
These clear, colourful and appropriately illustrated kari pangarau, will assist you in making your own Maths Taskboard for your Maori Medium junior classroom (year 0 to 3). Te reo Maori is the only language used in this set.
I’ve had the support of two wonderful teacher friends (who both teach in Maori medium settings) to create this resource.
There are a total of 7 different ‘kaiako’ task card looks (5 females & 2 males), one set of grouping cards (shapes) and word signs (panui, ropu, me mahi, ka taea).
The kari panui currently in this pack are: Pukapuka, Tu mahi, Hangarau (or ‘kuti toko piri’), Mahi peita, Nga pu, Pukapuka nui, Pou whakarongo, Poke paraoa (nga pu), Tepu tuhituhi, Poke paraoa (nga kepu), Mahi wai, Mahi onepu, Rotarota, Panui a-karu, Mahi whakaari, Kari pu, Wa watea, Pukapuka kokona, Kokona panui, I-papa (or ‘E-papa’), Rorohiko, Nga kemu, Panui takirua, Panui, Tuhi a-wai, Panui a-ruma, Tuhi a-ruma, Hanga pu reta, Pouaka pukapuka, Nga pu wharewhare, Wharewhare, Nga pu uenuka, Kaiawhina, Kaiako.
This is a fantastic investment for your classroom organisation & management. Keep the file saved to your personal computer and reprint to replace cards over time!
Request additional cards:
I do recognise that you may want additional cards to cater for your specific class or kura. I am happy create new cards to add to your set if you need them. All I'll need for this, is an email from you with the Māori kupu you need for your extra cards (with correct macron placement if any) and a brief description of what image/s you’d like.
