Students will enjoy this 2 day activity. Day 1 give each student 1/2 of p.1 and a large sheet of paper to design their own city. They will draw 25 places, buildings, roads, a bridge, stoplights etc...and label each.
On day 2 students engage in various activities with their maps and also use little counting bears to travel on their maps. In activity B, they create an itinerary for where their partner's bear should go on their map. They exchange maps and then each student talks their partner through their itinerary. They get their own map back and create create 8 sentences to practice prepositions and again swith maps and converse. Finally partners sit back to back and play a guessing game competition by asking where their partner's bear is ¿Está tu oso en la panadería? etc..Very engaging with lots of target language practice
