Product Description
This is a problem based learning activity where the students compare and contrast the various map projections, deciding which one they like the best. The students are given a letter indicating a problem (see preview). The students then will study various map projections and complete a documentation handout. Afterwards, they must write a letter back to the social studies department head stating which map projection they like the best and why. At the end, you can discuss the pros/cons of each map projection (and use information for unit test). This activity include teacher procedure, letter/problem, documentation chart, and pictures of the various map projections (staple in packet for each group)
