Map Scale Practice – Canada Itinerary
This chart is perfect for students to keep in their Interactive Notebooks. Students will practice using a map scale to find distances, as well as review important cities and physical features in Canada.
The students are given the following scenario:
“Work with a partner to plan a trip through Canada! Use your atlas and your knowledge of using a map scale to help you determine the distances you will travel from place to place.
• Write 2 Canadian cities that you’d travel between.
• Write 4 physical features that you’d travel between.
• Use complete sentences!
• Calculate the distance (in miles) between each location using the map scale”
I have also created Map Scale Practice sheets for: America, Europe, Australia, & Latin America. Be sure to check them out!
