This is a series of maps focussing on Atlantic Canada: Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. It is one of the five main regions of Canada (BC, Prairie Provinces, Ontario & Quebec, Atlantic Canada and The North). Included are four versions: one with the main cities and bodies of water labeled, one with the major cities and bodies of water without labels, one with a reduced amount of water bodies and no cities, and lastly, one completely blank showing only provincial boundaries.
Also included are two assignments sheets at different levels. These can be viewed on the preview.
Maps are a way of representing data. These maps will provide a canvas for displaying data, depending on whether or not cities, rivers, or lakes are relevant to the data presented.
Some ideas for using these maps:
-Show the path of the explorations or the railway
-Show location of the immigrants who settled Atlantic Canada
-Show historical locations
-Show physical geography, land use, population density, movement patterns, etc.
-Show Environmental or scientific data
I look forward to hearing how you have used the maps!
