This is a great resource that I modified from an older textbook. Students are given latitude and longitude coordinates that they will add onto a world map (included in this activity). Students will then infer the relationship between where volcanoes and earthquakes are distributed. This is a Great mini-lab (I call them a "labtivity") that teaches students about plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanoes, latitude, and longitude. In addition, the preparation couldn't be easier! Have fun!
Materials needed: this packet and 4 colored pencils of different colors per student.
The designed PDF can be enjoyed the way it is, but a straightforward editable word doc is included as well.
