This project allows students to explore the impact of the different economic factors on life in different nations. Students are asked to pick an economic indicator, such as GDP and compare it to a social indicator, such as life expectancy. The project is broken up into different steps, with resources included for each, that will end in two final products, a decorated map and an accompanying essay. The project can take anywhere from one-two weeks, depending on your students skill level, how much in class time you plan on spending, and the amount of homework you assign. Rubric for the map is included.
