I created this activity to print onto colored cardstock, laminate and put magnet tape on to do whole-group as a minilesson when introducing maps and globes for Social Studies. I will draw a big Venn Diagram on the board, then the students will help me place the cards where they go--either under maps, globes, or in the middle for both. After we have completed the Venn Diagram as a class, the students will record the answers on their own Venn diagram for additional practice. There are several variations to this activity. Here is another--the cards could be shrunk and printed on regular paper so that each student has their own set of cards to glue onto the Venn Diagram. OR, the students can work on the activity as a center or groupwork activity--you could make several sets for small groups. OR, the Venn Diagram could be made as a whole class and discussed, then the Venn Diagram of their own can be filled out at another time for an assessment. So many variations! Enjoy! Thanks for looking!
