This download includes 3 versions which allows students to practice counting objects 1- 20.
The first version is an empty set of sacks, with a number at the top. Students will use glass marbles (the glass stones are the best since they usually have a flat side and wont roll.) Students will place the number of marbles that matches the corresponding number.
The second version includes marbles along with the corresponding number at the top. This can be a great visual for students to see an increase of marbles, as the number increases. This would also be great to post on your math wall as a reference.
The third version is marbles without the numbers. This version is intended for students to practice counting a group of items. They can count the marbles and write the number with a dry erase marker. I teach my students to make little "tick marks" on each object to help them see what has already been counted. Circling groups of ten would also be a great task for students to do.
