Get your students writing with these journal prompts! This includes one color copy and one black and white copy of a month of journal prompts for March. I've used this method in my classroom with great success for years. Students keep the calendar in their folders, and respond to prompts in a reading journal. Every Monday is "Weekend Write," which gives you lots of great insight into what kinds of things students do in their free time. Every Friday is "Free Write Friday," giving students the independence and creative freedom to write about anything of their choosing. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, students are given a prompt to respond to. All prompts and numbers are completely editable, so you can edit year to year to match your school calendar/days off or replace any prompts you would like to change.
