Better writers make better readers.
Daily Journal writing helps students become better readers and writers. This March Journal Writing can be used for independent work, at literacy stations, or in small groups.
Included in the March Daily Journal Writing prompt product are 25 writing prompts. Each prompt has been formatted three different ways.
• Two-sided one page version- Simple copy a week worth of journal writing onto one page per student. Students fold the paper in half, cut along the dotted lines on the front half and write inside the paper. Primary and Elementary lines are included.
• One page version formatted to glue into an interactive notebook or spiral notebook.
•Writing Journal with one page per writing prompt, space for a picture, and a choice of primary or elementary lines.
✴I have used these writing prompts in my first grade classroom for several years and my students love them. I make the full size journal and students work on the prompt during their literacy centers. I recently began using these prompts in third grade and third graders love them too!
