The literacy centers include:
March Magic Writing: An 11 page set that has seasonally themed pages to trace in white crayon, then color wash with markers or water colors (my students LOVE these). Each page is great for fluency practice, and all can be made into a little booklet to take home.
Leprechaun Poetry Reader: Based on the I Want to Be a Leprechaun Poem and song, this reader gives students another opportunity to "sing-read" to help build fluency.
I Want to Be A Leprechaun Pocket Chart Poem Activities: This set includes pocket chart size cards to cut apart, a printable poem, picture cards to go along with each line of the poem, and a cut/paste vocabulary activity.
March Math Magic: This set includes fluency cards to print and cut apart, and activity sheets to trace and help build math facts fluency. Students have the option to use white crayon and paint over the number sentences in this set too!
I'd Like to Be a Leprechaun mp3 file: Download this file and use to help teach the poem or the reader. I put the poem up on my smart board with the song embedded in a power point slide, but it will play on your mp3 player as you display the poem too.
I hear from teachers all the time about how much fun these activities have been for their students, and I hope I can add you to that list of happy customers!
