March Math: Solving Story Problems offers practice with the necessary steps for solving mathematical word problems. The steps included are: read the story, circle the numbers or number words given, underline the key words that indicate what mathematical operation needs to be done, draw the representations of the numbers, write the number sentence, solve, and write the answer. There are two Work Mats with the steps to solving and write/solve the word problems. There are 24 addition/subtraction number story problems to cut, paste on the work mats, and then solve. I have also included some pictures for the students to create and write their own story problems. They all have a March/spring theme. The stories include numbers in two ways, the numerical and word forms. This is a perfect activity for small group math centers, or for whole class work. If you like this product, I also have September, October, November, December, January, February, April, and May sets available in my TpT store.
