These 5 math stations require little prep and are sure to get your kids excited about math! AND of course they have a fun, St. Patty's Day theme, because everyone LOVES a good theme! :)
Lucky Number 10: Print and laminate shamrock cards for each student in the station. Place cards in cuplike containers. Students draw a card and decompose the number in the ten frame.
Building Base Tens: Print, cut and laminate number mats. Students build the number with base ten blocks on the mat. Then students draw the tens and ones on the recording sheet. Tier 1: #’s 1-20 Tier 2: #’s 10-25 Tier 3: random #’’s 50-100
Button Sort: Print, cut and laminate button cards. Tape onto plates or sorting container. Student will sort the buttons and then record their findings on the recording sheet.
Somewhere over the Rainbow: Students use pattern blocks to create a rainbow in the box, and record their blocks on the recording sheet.
Shake & Spill: Place double sided counters into containers. Students shake, and spill the counters. Then they color the counters on the recording sheet to match and write the number sentence.
