Still practicing those word problems and getting your kiddos ready for tricky testing problems?! I've found that open-ended questions are one of the best ways to help our little ones open their minds and thoughts to the possibility of there being more than ONE correct answer and really digging to find answers. They struggle with the new idea of "many answers" at first, but I love that these kinds of questions give kids of all skill levels the opportunity to show what they know at their own, unique level.
These open-ended addition and subtraction task cards are March themed, full of leprechauns, clovers, and gold coins! There are 16 cards and 1 recording sheet. You may want your students to record their answers in a math journal or notebook, however, since finding more than one answer is the goal of these cards. Feel free to use them however is best for you and your little learners!
