This March Holiday Writing Mini-Lessons and Craftivities pack combines both Feelin' Lucky and Leap Into a Good Book. Both of these items are also sold separately.
Leap into a Good Book:
Celebrate reading! Although this adorable activity could be used ANY time of year, Leap Into a Good book offers a perfect opportunity to celebrate Leap Year, and/or Read Across America, or just reading in general. If you are doing a unit about frogs, this is a fabulous way to incorporate literature and reading.
With this project, students will create:
*an adorable little frog
*a swimsuit for the frog to wear in the pond
*a mini-book study on a book of their choice
*a little book for the frog to read
*optional red and white hats are included
Feelin’ Lucky is an expository writing lesson and activity coupled with an adorable leprechaun craft. There are black lines for a boy and a girl leprechaun.
The pack includes a detailed writing lesson that spans 4 days. However, you could make adjustments and combine a couple of the days depending on the needs of your students.
It addresses Common Core Standards K.W.2, 1.W.2, 2.W.2
This resource includes:
