Product Description
There is just not enough time in the day for my students to sit and write. I wanted something to guide my students' thinking, but allow them to have some thoughts of their own while writing. So, I created this unit with my own students in mind- writing prompts that I use for morning work each day. What better way to start the day?!

In this unit, you will find 31 prompts. Of course, I advise you to pick and choose what will work for your students. I have included the prompts with primary lines, just the prompt (to cut and glue into a writing notebook), and the prompts with intermediate lines included.

You will notice that some of the prompts are date specific, while others of the prompts are not. Once again, use what works for you and your students.

I hope this unit will help you to offer more writing experiences in your classroom!
