Students redesign the cover of their favorite fictional book. On the back students must include a book report telling the rest of us what the book was about, characters, setting and theme. I use a white piece of poster board cut into fourths. Each child receives a folded fourth of the poster board to create their new book jacket. Construction paper can work too, but doesn't display as well. When complete, students share their new book jackets with the class. These can be displayed on the bulletin board when all students have shared.
